Curriculum Overview

Here is our curriculum overview for the year ahead, 2022/23.

Welcome to Class 4's page. Our Year 5 and Year 6 children have an exciting morning of English, guided reading and maths. In the afternoons, the children enjoy exploring the foundation subjects (i.e. geography, music, art, computing, Spanish, PSHE and RE) as well as engaging in our scientific investigations. Our class is taught by Miss Miller and covered by Mrs Dickinson on a Wednesday morning.

This term our theme is Ancient Greece. We will be looking at what made ancient Greece one of the most important civilisations in history and exploring further with Greek Gods and Goddesses' and identifying who Alexander the Great was. We will be starting the English term with 'Who let the God's out' and embedding our knowledge and skills to write our own myths!

Science takes us through electricity where we will explore circuits and components to produce our own functioning traffic lights - how exciting!

Please continue to practice times tables and spellings weekly. Our spelling test will still take place on a Monday morning this half term. I will check homework books and timestables rockstars weekly to check progress.
